Linda L. of Euclid, Ohio was thrilled to finally get the new, walk-in shower of her dreams installed in her home. As a part of the job, her plumber had to turn off the water to redirect the connection to a different location in her bathroom. No matter how hard the technician tried, he wasn’t able to turn the valve to shut off the water. The valve was also leaking, raising suspicion that something larger might be going on. Enter HomeServe!
Linda has been a HomeServe customer for nearly a decade and is enrolled in several repair plans, including the Interior Plumbing and Drainage plan. She gave us a call, and we promptly sent out a local and reliable member of our contractor network, Elie’s Plumbing, to give it a try. This time, the water was able to be successfully turned off and the leak from the valve stopped. Just like that, Linda’s renovation was back on track.
“The first experience with shutting the water off was so efficient,” Linda recounted. “It couldn’t get more simple for me as a customer. I called (HomeServe), you scheduled, and a top-tier plumber was at my doorstep in no time.”
While the repair seemed open and shut, it was two days later when Linda realized that might not be the case. Before work on her new shower could resume, she came home to a stream of water coming out of the wall near the shutoff valve. Another call to HomeServe, followed by another prompt visit by Elie’s Plumbing, confirmed that a new leak in the piping had sprung.
“What are the chances, right?” Linda said. “I felt one step ahead of the game though, because of the contractor you connected me with. The technician from Elie’s Plumbing assured me he wouldn’t leave until the leak was fixed.”
Sure enough, Linda’s leak was fixed that day, and her renovation was able to be completed without any more blips or obstacles, saving her over $1,200 in the process.
“Instead of spending your time struggling to find somebody to handle your issue, you already have your go-to and know that they’ve already been vetted. You just can’t beat this service.”
She first heard about HomeServe close to a decade ago when she got a flyer in the mail. Linda had just moved into her neighborhood and hadn’t been able to find a quality plumber or electrician. She figured that HomeServe handling any potential future problems for her would eliminate her need to worry about tracking down any other service providers on her own.
“HomeServe’s plans simply come in handy when you need them most,” Linda said. “Instead of spending your time struggling to find somebody to handle your issue, you already have your go-to and know that they’ve already been vetted. You just can’t beat this service.”
