Tom Rusin

President & Chief Executive Officer

Tom Rusin has been leading the HomeServe North American business since joining the company in July 2011 as CEO of HomeServe USA. From April 2018 until March 2021, Tom also served as Global CEO of HomeServe Membership, overseeing HomeServe’s businesses in NA, the UK and Europe. Prior to Brookfield’s 2023 acquisition of HomeServe PLC, Tom served as an Executive Director on the HomeServe PLC Board. Now as President and CEO of HomeServe NA, Tom oversees the growth and development of the company’s Membership and HVAC business segments.Before joining HomeServe, Tom served as the President and Chief Executive Officer of Affinion Group North America, from June 2007 to June 2010, after holding various positions there since 1999. Tom has over 25 years' experience managing branded consumer engagement and loyalty programs.

Judy Melillo

Judy Melillo

General Counsel & Corporate Secretary

Judy Melillo was appointed General Counsel and Corporate Secretary of HomeServe USA in January 2024 and oversees the legal and compliance functions. Prior to joining HomeServe in February 2022 as Deputy General Counsel, Judy spent sixteen years at FUJIFILM Holdings America Corporation, most recently as Vice President, General Counsel & Secretary. At Fujifilm, she was responsible for the general legal and compliance affairs of the company and its 23 subsidiaries in North America and Latin America. Judy began her career at Davis Polk & Wardwell handling various corporate legal matters with a focus on mergers and acquisitions, securities and environmental law.

Mike Murney

Chief Financial Officer

Mike Murney was appointed Chief Financial Officer of HomeServe North America in March 2023. He is responsible for the finance function, overseeing Accounting, M&A, Financial Planning & Analysis, Capital Markets and Treasury, Sourcing, Tax and Financial Systems operations. Prior to joining HomeServe, Mike served as a Senior Vice President and Chief Financial Officer of Brookfield Infrastructure’s Private Funds business. Mike held previous roles at Brookfield Infrastructure which included Chief Financial Officer, North America and leading the public reporting function for Brookfield Infrastructure Partners. Mike is a CPA and began his career within the risk advisory practice at Deloitte.

Andy Yost

Chief Marketing Officer

Andy Yost joined HomeServe USA in August 2022 as Chief Marketing Officer. He has responsibility for and guides HomeServe’s multi-channel marketing strategy and execution. Andy brings nearly 30 years of marketing leadership and experience in both start-ups and industry-leading corporations such as Gannett, Viacom, Dow Jones, Columbia House and American Express. Most recently he was Chief Marketing Officer at Kinsa, a health tech startup, leading B2B/B2C marketing.

Michael Backus

Mike Backus

Chief Growth Officer

Michael Backus was appointed Chief Growth Officer in September 2022, leading the teams that build and sustain relationships with municipalities and utilities in the water and energy sectors throughout North America. His duties also include corporate communications, new product development, and expanding our presence into new markets and territories. Mike has had increasing responsibilities since joining HomeServe in April 2007 as call center manager and ultimately vice president over all call center operations. He transitioned in 2013 to leading the account management team before also taking on business development as Chief Sales Officer in 2016. Prior to HomeServe, Mike has held management roles in leading call center, account management, and sales teams in a variety of industries for companies such as MBNA, TeleTech, and HSBC.

Rob Judson

Rob Judson

Chief Operating Officer

Rob Judson was appointed Chief Operating Officer in December 2022 and is responsible for the service delivery and technology areas of the business, including contact centers, the contractor network, IT, the Project Management Office and the company’s automation strategy. Rob has over 20 years of experience in the home services industry having started his career in HomeServe’s UK business as a front-line contact center employee before progressing through the ranks and leading all UK outsourced operations. In 2011 Rob joined the North American team and continued to progress throughout the organization in various operational leadership roles both here and globally. Rob is passionate about innovation and continuous improvement of the end-to-end customer journey.

Fred Rodriguez

Chief Information & Process Officer

Fred Rodriguez is the Chief Information and Process Officer of HomeServe North America and joined the organization in May 2015. He is responsible for leading our Information Technology, Business Operations, Payment Processing and Process Simplification efforts – primarily focusing on both business processes and implementing technology solutions to streamline and support the growth of the organization. Prior to assuming this role, Fred served in several roles including Chief Operating Officer, Chief Information Officer, Chief Transformation Officer and Executive Vice President, Business Operations. Fred brings over 25 years of experience in Operations, Information Technology, and Payment Processing. Prior to HomeServe Fred was EVP, Operations at Affinion Group where he led the Operations team focused on analyzing existing operations, building and implementing new strategies, processes, and technologies that improved productivity, customer satisfaction and efficiency. Fred has also volunteered over 20+ years for a non-profit organization focused on educating payment professionals. As a current Eagle Board Member, he works closely with the merchant board members, card associations, and key payment vendors to shape the educational content for those merchants that attend the annual forum.

John Kitzie

President HVAC

John Kitzie rejoined HomeServe North America in January 2024 to lead our HVAC business segment after three years as CEO of HomeServe’s UK business. Prior to his UK assignment, John served as CEO of HomeServe North America for three years and before that was COO since joining the company in 2012. John has extensive senior-level experience in areas such as Business Development, Supplier Network Operations, Customer Service and Client Relationship Management. John’s 40 plus years in business span across the home service, consumer electronic, retail, and customer service industries. Prior to HomeServe, John served as Executive Vice President of Operations for Affinion Group where he was responsible for contact centers, fulfillment, merchandising, supply chain, procurement and telecommunications. Prior to joining Affinion Group, John served as president of Savemart and Senior Vice President of Vcommerce.

Catherine Highton

Senior Vice President of People

Catherine Highton was appointed Senior Vice President of People in January 2024, leading the human resources function for the company. She joined HomeServe in early 2022 as the Sr. Director of People Business Partners, responsible for overseeing the Corporate and Operations functions. In 2023, she expanded her role to include Talent and Culture as Vice President, People Business Partners and Culture. Before HomeServe, Catherine was the Director of Organizational Effectiveness at Brooks Brothers. There, she oversaw Employee Engagement, Learning and Development, Performance Management, and Diversity and Inclusion. She was also instrumental in leading Employee Relations functions across North America, providing strategic support, guidance, and leading Union negotiations. Before her move to the U.S., Catherine held several leadership positions at Marks & Spencer, a well-known UK retailer.

Mike Van Horne

Vice President & General Manager Canada

Mike Van Horne serves as Vice President and General Manager, leading business development, partner relations, contractor management and marketing efforts for the Canadian business. He also leads sales and operations for the US Real Estate business. Mike was born in Canada and current resides in the Greater Toronto Area. Mike has been with HomeServe since November 2020. Prior to that Mike held management roles in consumer goods, pharmaceutical, restaurant and home service companies including Procter & Gamble, Yum Restaurants and Enercare.
